ActiveHordeum vulgare L. · Barley
ULRICH and JOSEF BREUN
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the two-row barley type. It is characterized by a pronounced seed dormancy period, which affects the rate of germination after ripening. During research, the variety demonstrated susceptibility to powdery mildew and net blotch, and its reactions to aluminum concentrations in the soil were also studied.
Historically, the variety was used as a parent form in breeding, including mutation breeding. The crop was valued for its productivity and suitability for brewing; it is currently preserved in genetic banks for the study of biological diversity.
