The variety belongs to the late-maturing barley group. It is characterized by good adaptation to the climatic conditions of Sweden, Norway, and Finland. In studies, the variety was examined in the context of resistance to fungal diseases, in particular to net blotch of barley Drechslera teres.
Grain quality indicators include the study of protein content, amino acid composition, and β-glucan levels, the concentration of which depends on the temperature regime during the grain filling period. In agricultural practice, the variety was used for whole-plant silage harvesting and as a cover crop.
