The variety is a two-row spring malting barley with a growing season of 74 to 90 days. The plant is short to medium in height, usually reaching 48–71 cm, and possesses a very high tillering intensity.
The variety is resistant to lodging and has high resistance to powdery mildew, while it may show moderate susceptibility to Helminthosporium. Potential yield reaches 100 c/ha, however, drought tolerance indicators may be lower than those of a number of standards.
The grain has a thousand kernel weight of 42 to 53 g and a protein content of 9–10%. Malting characteristics include high malt extract, low viscosity, high germination energy, and high final attenuation.
