The barley variety KWS Josie is a two-row malting barley of the spring type. The variety was bred in Germany and is an independent unit, distinct from other KWS breeding products with similar names.
During trials, the variety demonstrated high stem strength and resistance to lodging. The plant is being evaluated for the needs of craft brewing.
