The variety is classified as feed barley. Its creation was the result of a breeding program aimed at using adapted local genetic material and promising foreign samples.

The variety underwent testing for registration in the National Catalogue of Cyprus, during which yield and quality indicators were evaluated, however, detailed numerical characteristics of the variety are not provided in open publications.
