The winter barley variety LG Carpenter is two-rowed and intended for feed purposes. The varieties LG Casting and UN3201 were used in its breeding. The main distinguishing feature is the presence of genetic resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus, which is capable of significantly reducing yield.
