The variety is characterized by low to medium yield compared to modern high-yielding varieties. Under field conditions, the plant has a weak tendency to lodging and shows susceptibility to powdery mildew.
A key feature of the grain is an increased level of lysine and threonine with a decreased content of glutamic acid and proline. The variety acts more as an object of physiological research than as commercial agricultural seed material.
