The variety is a two-row barley, which in scientific trials demonstrates a high number of grains per ear with a thousand kernel weight of about 40.15 g. It is characterized by a specific biochemical composition with a low total protein level, but a high content of certain amino acids.
The variety possesses resistance to infestation by the aphid species Rhopalosiphum padi and low susceptibility to barley rust, however, it shows susceptibility to cereal cyst nematodes of races 1 and 2. Currently, the variety is mainly used in comparative studies of adaptability and genetic diversity.
