The Newway barley variety was included in official agricultural plant catalogs. Variety testing materials considered parameters of grain moisture, protein content, and grain size, but precise values for these indicators are not publicly available.
The origin of the variety and its parent lines are not disclosed by the breeder. According to the official Danish bulletin from September 2025, a procedure for removal from the national list has been initiated for the variety.
