The variety is the result of a cross between Chronicle and Genie. The plant is medium-height, reaching 77–78 cm, and possesses good resistance to lodging and ear brackling.
The grain is distinguished by a high test weight, reaching 70.4 kg/hl. The variety is approved by the Malt Barley Committee for use in distilling and has a high disease resistance profile, which allows for stable yields with moderate application of fungicides.
