The variety is a spring two-row barley. The pedigree of the variety is based on the crossing of varieties Pasadena and Henni. In a number of reference materials, it is characterized as mid-late.

The variety belongs to the non-malting feed type. It is distinguished by high seeding density and the ability to form a large number of grains per hectare.

It is used as a model variety in genetic experiments, including the mapping of stem morphology traits and the analysis of SNP markers.
