The variety is a two-row spring barley bred from a combination cross of Formula x Ingrid and MMD2N x Roland 2. Based on its morphological characteristics, the plants are classified as having medium to high stem height and medium resistance to lodging.

The grain is characterized by good sorting, high test weight, and high thousand kernel weight, which allows the variety to be used in malting. During variety trials, relative resistance to net blotch and leaf rust was observed.
