Hordeum vulgare L. Barley · Agricultural · bred by VEB Saat und Pflanzgut (DE)

also searched as: трумпф

Variety description

10 August 2026

The Trumpf variety is a high-yielding spring barley line, widely used in breeding to improve grain characteristics, particularly in crosses with the Diamant variety. Some studies note its genetic proximity or potential identity to the Triumph variety.

The plant contains the denso gene, which causes semi-dwarfism and influences malt quality. During its period of active use, the variety demonstrated susceptibility to certain pathogens, including powdery mildew, as reflected in historical scientific publications and plant protection materials.
