The variety was developed using the Pedigree breeding method. It is intended for both traditional and organic farming. The plant has a long ear and a stem that contributes to weed suppression, as well as reddish stripes on the grain during the growing season.
The variety possesses good resistance to leaf blotch and other main barley diseases. The grain is distinguished by high test weight and good uniformity; protein content is at an average level.
