The spring barley variety Virazh of Ukrainian breeding is intended for intensive farming in the Forest-Steppe conditions of Ukraine. When applying mineral fertilizers at dosages of N30P30K30 or N60P60K60, the recommended seeding rate is 3–4 million viable seeds per hectare.
Open sources also mention a spring barley variety of the same name of Kazakhstani breeding, which is a separate variety with a growing season of 67–70 days, a thousand kernel weight of 37.6 g, and a yield of about 48.5 c/ha.
