Plants of this variety reach a height of 55–65 cm. The variety is awnless and classified as mid-season. It possesses very high resistance to lodging.

The thousand kernel weight is about 44.0 g, protein content in the grain reaches 13.8%. The variety is used as feed barley, and also serves as valuable genetic material in breeding programs for the development of new varieties with the awnless trait.
