Variety description

10 August 2026

The barley variety Wikingett is a spring two-row variety intended for malting purposes. It is actively used in scientific research on grain quality, malting production characteristics, as well as in analyses of endosperm structure and malting processes.

The plant possesses high complex resistance to foliar diseases, including infestation with Ramularia collo-cygni leaf spot. The variety also exhibits relatively high indicators of allelopathic activity among northern barley varieties.
