Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Echinacea purpurea and Echinacea paradoxa. The plant forms a dense compact bush 45–90 cm tall and 30–45 cm wide with upright branched stems resistant to lodging.

Large double inflorescences with a diameter of about 10 cm have a color in the tones of a ripe melon. Flowering continues from mid-summer to early autumn. Due to the peculiarities of the shape, the flowers produce almost no pollen and nectar.

The crop is drought-tolerant, tolerates heat, humidity, and poor soils. It prefers full sun but is capable of developing in partial shade. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 4–10. The plant is susceptible to aster yellows and fungal leaf spots.
