Fast-growing shrub with an upright, funnel-shaped habit, reaching a height of 3 to 5 meters. Leaves are deciduous, 8–11 cm long, resembling fig leaves in shape, with three distinct lobes, matte, mid-green in color.
Flowers are large, 8 to 15 cm in diameter, color varies from pale lilac-pink to mauve with a purple eye in the center. Flowering continues from mid-July to September. The variety is female sterile.
The plant possesses increased vigor and frost resistance, withstanding temperature drops down to -29 °C. Demanding of soil moisture, prefers planting in full sun. Not recommended for container cultivation.
