The variety is a tall, upright and bushy plant, the crown of which expands with age. At maturity, the shrub reaches a height of about 3 meters and a width of about 1.8 meters; the foliage is a deep green color.
The plant produces very large flowers up to 16 cm in diameter, purple in color with a deep red eye. Flowering occurs from June to August; the variety is distinguished by the abundance and duration of flowering due to the sterility of the flowers.
The plant is resistant to heat up to 40 °C. The officially stated winter hardiness is down to -10 °C.
