The plant is an interspecific hybrid created from Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. It is used exclusively as a rootstock for grafting, allowing for the support of less vigorous hybrids when grown in extended cycles, both in soil and on artificial substrates.

The hybrid is characterized by very powerful growth and high vigor. It possesses high resistance to tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt and root rot, corky root rot, and Verticillium wilt, as well as intermediate resistance to root-knot nematodes. Grafting onto this rootstock contributes to the production of larger fruits and reduces the risk of blossom-end rot development.
