The hybrid was obtained by crossing Solanum lycopersicum and Solanum habrochaites. It is not intended for the production of commercial fruit and is used exclusively as an agrotechnical tool to create a powerful root system for the scion.

The primary function of the hybrid is to impart high vigor and resistance to soil-borne pathogens to the grafted plant, which contributes to an early and abundant harvest. When using it, it is important to observe the timing of grafting while the stem retains its round shape.
