Variety description

The variety (also known as 3196-57 B or G9) was created as a result of long-term breeding work to transfer disease resistance genes from the American species Vitis rotundifolia to cultivated Vitis vinifera varieties. Due to significant genetic differences between the species, the variety is specialized hybrid material.

The plant is characterized by very high vigor and forms long shoots in a horizontal or drooping position. The variety has low fertility on basal buds, which requires the use of specific pruning methods. Detailed characteristics of the fruit and suitability for winemaking are limited due to the fact that the variety is a breeding subject.
