Variety description

The variety was obtained as a result of crossing the Ugni blanc variety and the breeding line Montpellier RV 4, which originates from Muscadinia rotundifolia. The plant is characterized as mid-season, ripening two weeks after the Chasselas variety, and possesses high productivity.
The leaves are medium-sized, rounded, five-lobed with deep dissection and a closed petiole sinus. The bunches are medium-sized, conical, dense or medium-dense. The berries are white, medium-sized, rounded, and covered with a waxy bloom.
The variety shows sensitivity to millerandage and risk of spring frosts due to its relatively early ripening period. It possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew; however, it requires minimal fungicidal treatment under high infection pressure.
The variety's production is classified as grapes for distillation; the wines obtained from it are characterized by high acidity.
