Variety description

The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained from crossing the Ugni blanc variety and a descendant of the Muscadinia rotundifolia species. The tip of the young shoot has a high density of prostrate hairs. The leaf is medium-sized, round, deeply lobed, with a closed petiole sinus and an elliptical lumen; there is no pubescence on the underside, and young leaves have a bronze tint.
The bunch is medium-sized, conical, dense, and often misshapen. The berry is small, round, white in color, with a "navel" and a medium-density waxy bloom. The skin is of medium thickness; the pulp is fleshy and juicy. The variety belongs to the mid-ripening group with a tendency toward later harvesting.
The plant possesses good resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew but is susceptible to black rot. Productivity is high. The resulting wines are characterized by low sugar content and high acidity, making them suitable for distillation and the production of eau-de-vie.
