Variety description

The shrub is characterized as compact and dense, reaching 1–1.3 meters in height and width. The variety forms medium-sized spherical inflorescences with a diameter of 15–20 cm.

The flowers have a pink or pink-red coloration, which can vary depending on soil acidity and aluminum availability. Flowering lasts from July to September, sometimes extending into early October.

The plant prefers partial shade and locations protected from the midday sun. It requires moisture-retaining, well-drained soils with a reaction ranging from acidic to neutral (pH 4.5–7). It is used as a specimen plant or for group plantings.
