The variety belongs to the lacecap hydrangea group and is distinguished by the presence of double flowers. The inflorescences consist of two types of flowers: decorative with large sepals and non-decorative fertile ones. The hue of the inflorescence coloration changes depending on soil acidity, acquiring a blue tone in acidic soils and pink in alkaline ones.

In professional floristry, the variety is studied in the context of extending cut flower life. It has been established that removing fertile flowers reduces transpiration intensity, allowing inflorescences to maintain their decorative quality in a vase for up to 22 days. The plant is widely used as an object for genetic research related to inflorescence types and double-flowering phenotypes.
