The shrub reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 m at ten years of age. The leaves are oval-shaped with serrated edges and are green in color, and in the autumn period they can acquire a purple-red hue. The variety possesses vigorous growth and good stem resistance to lodging.

The flower color depends on the acidity of the soil: on acidic soils it varies from bright blue to violet-blue, on alkaline soils the flowers acquire a pink tone. By autumn, the inflorescences may change color to purple-green. The plant requires moist, well-drained slightly acidic soils and regular watering.

The variety is used in landscape design for creating borders and solitary plantings in partial shade. Annual pruning is recommended to maintain aesthetic appeal.
