Variety description

A spreading shrub reaching a height and width of about 1.5–1.6 m. The plant's shoots are characterized by strength, which allows them to support large spherical inflorescences up to 20 cm in diameter.

Flower color varies from pink to deep blue depending on soil acidity and aluminum content. The variety blooms on previous year's shoots and is not remontant.

The plant is considered one of the most winter-hardy among old Hydrangea macrophylla varieties, yet it requires covering in regions with cold climates.
