The compact shrub has a height and width of 1 to 1.2 meters. Leaves are dark green, oval or elliptical in shape with a serrated edge. Flowers with a diameter of 5–5.5 cm are gathered in spherical inflorescences.

The color of the flowers depends on the soil composition: in neutral or calcareous soil they are bright pink, and in acidic soil with the presence of aluminum, they are light blue. The flowering period lasts from June to August, sometimes until September.

The variety possesses good winter hardiness and endurance. It is used in gardening for creating borders, hedges, and group plantings, and is also suitable for growing in containers and as an indoor plant.
