Variety description

The shrub is compact, dense, upright, with strong shoots, reaching a height of 1.2–1.5 m. The leaves are large, broadly oval, serrated, dark green with a glossy sheen. The inflorescences are spherical, 17–25 cm in diameter, located at the ends of the shoots.

The color of the flowers depends on the soil pH level: in neutral and alkaline soils they are pink, in acidic soils they are violet or blue. Flowering occurs from July to September on the previous year's shoots.

The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zone 6, withstands frosts down to -18…-20°C and requires winter cover to protect flower buds. The variety has resistance to gray mold and powdery mildew, prefers partial shade and moist fertile soils.
