Variety description

The plant forms a powerful, vigorously growing bush of rounded shape. The leaves are large, broadly ovate, serrated, dark green in color with pronounced venation.

Mophead-type inflorescences have a deep pink shade in alkaline soils, and purple-blue or blue in acidic soils. Flowering occurs from July to September. Winter hardiness is assessed as medium; the plant withstands temperature drops down to -18 °C.

The variety is used in mixed borders, group or solitary plantings, and is suitable for creating hedges and for cut flowers. Historically used for forcing.
