Variety description

The shrub is characterized by a compact and spreading form with dense foliage, reaching a height of 1.2 to 1.8 meters. The leaves are large, dense, leathery, have a broad-elliptical or obovate shape, dark green color and pronounced venation.

The inflorescences are spherical-capitate, reaching 20 cm in diameter. The flower color varies from cherry-red to purple or lavender-blue, determined by the soil pH. In autumn, the inflorescences may change shape and petal density.

The flowering period lasts from July to September, sometimes extending into October. The plant has high disease resistance, however, in the conditions of the middle zone, it requires winter protection. It is used in landscape design for creating solitary plantings, borders and decorative compositions.
