Variety description

The variety is a natural mutation of the Hydrangea macrophylla "Xian" plant. The plant is a compact shrub with a height of 0.9 to 1.5 m with very strong and upright stems capable of supporting large globular inflorescences.
Flowering occurs on both previous and current year's shoots. The flower color varies from pink in alkaline soils to blue in acidic ones, while over time the petals turn purple, wine, and greenish shades. The variety is suitable for growing in the garden and containers; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–9.
