Variety description

The variety Kamosere Arigatou is classified as Hydrangea macrophylla; however, due to its origin via hybridization with Hydrangea serrata, it is sometimes distinguished as an interspecific hybrid. The plant forms a bush approximately 1 meter high and belongs to the lacecap group with lace-like inflorescences.
This variety has the ability to overwinter in open ground in regions with a temperate climate, which is confirmed by data on its cultivation in the western districts of Hokkaido.
