Hydrangea macrophylla "Papillon" is a remontant variety with double flowers of a delicate pink shade. During the flowering process, the inflorescences can change color, acquiring red-green tones.

Hydrangea paniculata "Papillon" is a shrub up to 2 m high and up to 1.5 m wide. The variety has winter hardiness down to -34°C and features large conical inflorescences consisting of sterile flowers resembling butterflies.
