The historical variety «Paris 1919» is an object of French selection. Detailed agronomic descriptions of this plant are absent in open sources, while there is an assumption about its identity with the «Paris» variety, which is characterized as a vigorous bush up to 1.5 m tall with purple-crimson inflorescences.

The modern variety «Cityline Paris» is a compact plant 30–60 cm tall, created for containers and small gardens. The bush has strong stems that do not lodge under the weight of the inflorescences. The flowers have a red-pink color that changes depending on the soil pH.

The «Cityline Paris» variety is distinguished by high resistance to powdery mildew and blooms on the previous year's shoots. Pruning to maintain the shape of the bush is practically not required.
