The plant is a dwarf deciduous shrub 30–90 cm tall with a dense, well-branched crown. The dark green leaves have a glossy surface. The variety is characterized by a compact shape that does not require heavy pruning or the use of growth regulators.
Large inflorescences form on the previous year's shoots and often have a creamy center at the beginning of flowering. The color intensity of the flowers depends directly on the soil pH: in an acidic environment they acquire a bright blue hue, in an alkaline one — a fuchsia color. The plant is resistant to powdery mildew and is suitable for overwintering in USDA zones 5–9.
The variety is used in landscape design for creating borders, mass plantings, container gardening, or as an accent plant. The inflorescences are suitable for cutting.
