Variety description

The shrub reaches a height of 80–150 cm with a crown width of approximately 120–130 cm. Shoots are upright and sturdy. Leaves are large, ovate, glossy, bright or dark green with serrated edges.

Inflorescences are spherical, with a diameter of about 20 cm. The flowering period lasts from June to September–October. The plant requires winter protection and belongs to hardiness zone 6.

On acidic soils, flowers acquire a saturated blue or cornflower-blue shade, while on alkaline soils, they are pink. The variety may be found under the synonym «Lake San Marcos».
