Variety description

The variety forms a compact rounded bush up to 1–1.5 m in height and about 1 m in width. The leaves are broad-ovate with serrated edges and a dark green color with a glossy sheen; they often acquire a wine-red hue in autumn.

The inflorescence is flat, umbel-shaped. The intense wine-red color of the sterile flowers can change to purple or violet depending on soil acidity, while the fertile flowers are usually white or pink.

The plant blooms on the previous year's shoots, requiring protection of buds from spring frosts and minimal pruning. The variety prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained, humus-rich soils; it is suitable for cultivation in containers and group plantings.
