Variety description

The variety belongs to the group with large globular inflorescences. The flowers have a bicolor coloration: the sepals have a crimson or blue-violet center, depending on soil acidity, and a broad white border along the edge.

The plant typically reaches a height of about 1–1.5 meters. The variety prefers partial shade, locations protected from the sun, and demonstrates resistance to most frosts, including coastal conditions. Inflorescences maintain their decorative quality until autumn, changing shades.

The variety is found in the Star Line and The Hydie range breeding series. Information regarding a connection between this variety and a breeder by the name of Chaubert is not confirmed in botanical registers.
