Variety description

The plant is a medium-sized, densely leaved shrub 80–150 cm in height with erect shoots. Large ovate leaves with serrated margins change color from bronze-green in spring to dark green with a purple hue in summer and dark red in autumn.

Spherical inflorescences reach 15–18 cm in diameter. Their color varies from crimson and fiery red to wine-red and purple-violet depending on soil acidity. Flowering is abundant and prolonged, lasting from July to September or October.

The variety tolerates drought and exposure to direct midday sun poorly. It is used in landscape design for solitary and group plantings, creation of borders, and for cultivation in containers.
