The shrub reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 m, or up to 70 cm in pot culture. The plant has glossy dark green foliage and forms dense spherical inflorescences up to 20–22 cm in diameter. The flowering period lasts from June to September.

Flower color varies from pink-red to fuchsia, petals may have fringed edges or green spots; color intensity depends on soil acidity. The plant is suitable for garden landscaping, creating borders, and container cultivation.

The varieties are characterized by resistance to diseases and pests. Winter hardiness is estimated in the range of -15°C to -23°C, with mandatory winter protection of the bushes recommended for regions with cold climates.
