Variety description

The mature shrub reaches a height of 0.9 to 1.3 m. The foliage is bright green, ovate in shape, with a serrated edge. The inflorescences are large, spherical, 25–35 cm in diameter. The flower color changes from pink to lilac and purple depending on soil acidity; the central part often has a greenish-yellow hue.

Flowering is prolonged, from July to September or October. The variety requires winter cover, belongs to hardiness zones 5–6, and possesses remontant traits, allowing it to bloom on current and previous year's shoots. The plant is sensitive to drought and requires regular watering.

The variety is used in landscape design as a solitaire, for creating borders, hedges, or cultivation in containers. In some catalogs, «Sybille» and «Masja» are listed as synonyms.
