The shrub is characterized by compact growth, reaching a height of 1–1.2 m, and in rare cases up to 1.5 m. The rounded inflorescences consist of double flowers, which can have an irregular shape. Flowering is prolonged, beginning in the period from June to August.
The flower color depends on soil acidity: in an acidic environment (pH < 5.5) they acquire a blue hue, and in an alkaline one (pH > 6.8) — pink, while the center of the flower often remains white. The variety belongs to USDA hardiness zone 7b (down to -17.7 °C) and requires covering in cold climates.
