The Teller Blue variety, also known as "Blaumeise", is an upright branching shrub with a height of 80 to 150 cm (sometimes up to 2.5 m). The plant's leaves are glossy, have an ovate shape and serrated edges.

The inflorescence is flat, plate-like: small fertile flowers are located in the center, surrounded by a ring of larger sterile flowers with four petal-like sepals. The flowering period continues from June to September or October.

The plant belongs to hardiness zone 6 (down to -23°C) and requires protection in regions with cold winters. It prefers partial shade, wind-protected areas and moist, fertile, well-drained soils without lime. Flowering occurs on the previous year's shoots.

The variety is used in single and group plantings, for creating hedges and for cultivation in containers.
