Viking is a deciduous shrub that forms large mophead-type spherical inflorescences. The flowers have a pink-lavender shade. An adult plant reaches dimensions of 1.2–1.5 meters in height and width.

The variety is intended for use in decorative garden compositions and borders. The plant prefers partial shade areas and requires fertile, moist, and well-drained soils.
