Variety description

The Wagtail variety is not an independent taxon and is a synonym for the Bachstelze variety from the Teller series. The plant is characterized by lacecap inflorescences, consisting of flat, lacy flower heads with fertile flowers in the center and sterile flowers at the edges.

The sterile flowers are white, while the fertile ones are bluish or pinkish depending on soil acidity. The shrub is distinguished by a compact and rigid growth habit compared to the Libelle variety. The plant is suitable for both open field and container cultivation.
