Variety description

The plant has peeling bark. The leaves are large, up to 20 cm, oval-lanceolate in shape with a pointed tip and serrated edges. The upper side of the leaf blade is smooth, the lower side has soft pubescence.

The inflorescences are pendulous, with a diameter of about 15 cm. Flowering usually continues from May-June to July-August, depending on climatic conditions.

The variety has good winter hardiness and is capable of tolerating cultivation in sunny areas.
