Sedum tetractinum «Coral Reef» is a low-growing succulent groundcover reaching a height of 7–10 cm and a width of up to 25–30 cm. It forms a dense mat of fleshy, rounded leaves that change color from green to coral in bright sun, and acquire a coral-bronze hue in autumn. It blooms in summer with yellow star-shaped flowers and is drought and heat tolerant.

The upright Hylotelephium «Coral Reef» variety is distinguished by its compact, dense, and bushy habit. Unlike the groundcover species, this variety has white flowers with gray-violet centers. Both plants are used in landscape design for greening, creating borders, and decorating rock gardens.
